Has anyone written a letter to their child's teacher
to basically say "job well done" and cc Principal and Board of Ed? If so, what did you write?

Yes, earlier this year I sent one to the principal and superintendent. It was regarding a specific issue where I felt that 2 teachers went above and beyond for my dd. I also sent copies to both teachers so they would see what I'd written about them.
I laid out the background and why I felt they went out of their way. Everyone responded positively to the letter.

I do it nearly every year. It's the best gift you can give a teacher.
