How do you pay your mortgage?
We had it set up so that the payment was taken out the 1st of the month, but I admit that I am very antiquated when it comes to bill paying.....I prefer paper statements & checks.
How do you all do it?

I make my payment online every month. I like the convenience of not having to send checks but I hate having things automatically deducted. I prefer to send payments myself.

We get a paper statement, and mail a check. Its onenof maybe 3 checks we actually write out.
Dh is completelynpaperless, but doesnt trust certain things, he isnt screwing around with the mortgage.

withdrawn from my account on the 3rd of each month. I set aside the amount and have it paid from my citibank acct to wells fargo. I feel more in control of my budget that its not the first thing out. So I have time to 'scramble' if i need to.

I hate not being able to pay it online. I have astoria and I believe if I had a checking account, I could do an automatic payment, but I am happy where my money is.
So I pay by check...I usually end up using the drive thru around the 1st. Good thing there are many branches near me.

I pay it online myself. I love the convenience of online bill pay....but I need to have control over when it happens for my own OCD.
And I like paying it. (I'm weird)

It comes out of our checking account (direct deposit) every two weeks.

Online bill pay. Set up on a schedule, but not an automatic deduction.

Same. Automatically taken out each month on a certain date. Set up that way for the life of the loan.

I write a check and take it to the bank drive thru. It is right by my house. I do not trust their auto payment! I am glad I don't do it b/c I have gotten letter before saying there was a computer error and they took a dble playment but if I do not do online banking or auto deduct it will not pertain to me.
It is a hefty payment and I would rather pay it in person.
it works for me.
And I always wait til the 14/15th it is due on the 16th

I really like writing checks and paying bills the old fashioned way....though I have a few bills that get paid automatically each month and a few that I pay online....

Ours is deducted automatically every 2 weeks for a biweekly payment. I like that I don't have to think about it, it is just done.
