If you have two separate central AC units for diff areas of your house

For instance we have one unit for the downstairs and one for the upstairs...I feel like the upstairs takes longer to kick in than the downstairs??? Normal or not??? This is the first we've had central AC so just wondering if we need to get it checked out

Would likely be normal since heat rises.

We had our CAC installed and got only one unit for 2 floors, but the thermostat was put upstairs b/c it's hotter upstairs so they wanted the therm to be in the hotter area.

So thats probably why its taking much longer.

We have 2 units. 1 for each floor. They both cool down very quick, within 10 minutes the whole house is cooler. I wouldn't say that 1 floor gets cooler faster. Both our units are new, less than 2 years. It couldn't hurt to get your units checked out and make sure they are working efficiently.

Thx, I def think this is the case, we have a splanch so we have a floating living room and then our main upstairs with the bedrooms, yesterday when we turned on the CAC for the first time, the vents in the living room were blowing really hard an cooling down very quickly(it is right above the basement with the duct work though) and our bedroom literally toook FOREVER and there was barely any air coming out of the vents so DH is starting to freakChat Icon
