Early onset of Terrible 2s???

How early did the terrible 2s start for you and when do they end? I love my DS was every fiber of my being, but this child is a class A brat! He is going to be 17 months old and he is just horribly behaved when we aren't at home.

He is always whining and wanting the opposite of whatever he wanted 2 minutes earlier i.e., up when down, down when up, mom instead of dad, dad instead of mom.

he has absolutely no words so the whining is ALL the time and on my last nerve.

19 months here and the whining (no words other than up ) is enough to make my ears bleed

DS is 20 months and I think we are officially in the terrible 2's! It makes everything so difficult! i dread play dates, going to activities or even the store is like a production. I am 29 pregnant and sometimes by the end of the day I am so shot... But then DS will give me a funny face or try to say a new word and then it melts my heart. These boys know how to keep us on their toes!! to you!!!

19 months and the temper tantrums have begun! She's good 95% of the time, but when she's bad...she's BAD! She can talk (4-5 words together) so it's not a communication issue - just a wanting what she wants when she wants it problem. VERY frustrating.

I just posted like this the other day. Dd is 20 months and whines, tantrums,etc....she talks so it is not communication...but it has to be the age!!!I am also recovering from spinal surgery so I can't do everything yet w/ DD so that makes it harder!

The whining ALL DAY makes me want to throw myself out a window. She talks...A LOT. Which is fine and dandy and i'm glad but she does. not.stop. Literally from the moment she wakes up she talks to herself and to me all day. The only break I get is when she sleeps (and she even whines in her sleep)
She throws tantrums like nobody's business. Once she hears the word "no"..forget it. She throws her arms up, falls to the floor and SCREAMS. So loud the walls shake. I walk away (she HATES that lol)
ALso, she just started hitting and biting She hit me while she was in her highchair yesterday so i reprimanded her and she lost her sh!t and started freaking out. I thought the highchair was going to fall over!

Cailen went through his worst tantrums at ages 18 mts-22mts. Then he started talking more and that helped. Really, by the age of 2, he was an angel!
