Repairing a rug -- worth it?
My dog ate a hole through my area rug in the LR. It's near a corner, but there's no way to re-arrange the rug to hide it until we buy a new one....
I saw something on a DIY/HGTV show where the homeowners repaired the carpet -- almost like ironing on a patch for pants -- but can you do that for a rug?
My poor dog -- he gets stressed out with these rain storms and I forgot to give him his melatonin this week -- and it had to be the Pottery Barn rug -- not the Home Depot rug downstairs
TIA

I think so. Is it a multi colored rug? Can you buy a cheap entry rug with similar colors and try to patch it that way? Sew it from the bottom?
I mean $30 for a throw rug vs. $250 (or whatever cost a new rug is) for a new rug seems like a no-brainer for me.
