Introducing Rowan Elaine and a little bit of my crazy birth story ( Pre- eclampsia and HELPP Syndrome)
I know I haven't posted a while in here.. I had a really crummy birth story .. basically Pre- eclampsia, HELPP syndrome and Pulmeonary Edemea ( basically fluid in your lungs, legs and body).. It was terrible.. just glad I am out of the hospital for the last two weeks. The reason I am posting is I really want everyone to be aware of Pre- Eclampsia.. its a hidden pregnancy disorder that can usually be only found through blood pressure checks and urine dip checks.. HELPP syndrome is another beast that comes with the package.. basically your body overswelling and insane amount of protein in your urine, elevated liver enzymes, blood platelet count falls and fluid in your lungs which I went through.. 1 in 12 women get Pre-eclamspia and HELPP is a little more rarer.
But through it all and good care you can beat this monster with a stick be aware and check your blood pressure.. but I want to introduce you to my daughter Rowan Elaine.. :O she was delivered on May 1, 2011 by c section born 3lbs 8oz .. she is in the NICU probably until June 20th which would had been her due date... She is doing awesome :)
Myself I finally feel better, its been a hard recovery but its happening day by day.. Image Attachment(s):

She is adorable! Glad you are feeling better ...I, too, had preeclampsia and know it is not easy...continue to feel well and I wish Rowan home as soon as she can be!

Congratulations on your beautiful little girl!!! I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. A very close friend of mine had HELPP syndrome and she was really sick for quite some time before they actually figured out what it was. One year and 3 months later mom and baby are doing great!

Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful daughter. I had preeclampsia with both of my deliveries. As an FYI once you have had it with one delivery you are at a much greater risk of developing it with any subsequent pregnancy. I hope you are feeling better!

You know my midwife suggested I "adopt" for the next child ( please I can't even go into her... she is a whole other issue) of the doctors at the hospital pretty much told me that I will be able to have a baby again after all this with the right doctor.. What doctor do you use? I can't use another midwife after this :(
