Summer infant mont. annoyed!
Well I started using mine around Easter and its not going left to right. I called up and they said in order for me to get a new one I must mail in my broken one and then they will mail me a new one. She said that I would have to borrow a friends monitor and or buy a new one while I wait. ( I dont know anyone not using theres!) She then says that 20 years ago there was no monitors and I could live with out one for a week or so. I asked to speak to the supervisor and she says since Monday is a high call vol. day the supervisor does not take calles because she is answering them like she does. I waiting 17 min's to just get annoyed!!
I have to now wait 24 hrs for a supervisor to call me back. Am I being unreasonable.

I had a bad experience with their cust service also. I bought a second camera to go with my original and it ended up causing interference on my original camera.
There was no explanation from Summer either other than "sometimes this happens".
Unfortunately I had already thrown out all of the packaging to the new camera when I noticed the interference problem.
I ended up buying a whole new monitor. It sucks, but what are you going to do...
Maybe you could try returning to where you got it from if it was on your registry?

I don't think you're being unreasonable, but I just wanted to let you know that my summer infant monitor didn't turn either so I also had to mail it in. I was also  that I would have no monitor for a week or two, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Now that I got the new monitor back, I actually don't use it as much! go figure  gl!

I actually had something happen and needed a new one as well and was not comfortable with not having a monitor, so they allowed me to give them my credit card number and mailed out the new monitor so that when I received it I would send the old one back and this way it would ensure I didn't rip them off. Ask if they will allow you to do that.

AND THIS IS WHY I STILL HAVE A BROKEN MONITOR!
DH refused to be without one! In order for me to move the camera i have PRESS SO HARD to move it and sometimes its like eff you im not moving! We are going to have to get another one, bc now its too late and they wont take it back.

Oh no! I only did it a few months ago, that sucks!

What about buying one from BRU and then returning it once you get the new one? I know it's not the most honest thing to do but at least it will give you peace of mind.
