forsalebyowner.com foreclosure/preforclosure listings...
It seems you have to pay for this or at least give your CC info to get a free trial. Anyone know anything about this? Worth it?

do NOT pay
I can run you a foreclosure or short sale list (which would be "pre-foreclosure")
those are all scams

Thanks! I saw on this listing on house that is listed for auction that I have actually seen on MLS. The other houses a lot of them say that the are preforeclosure. I'm just wondering if I could find out the addresses of these people I could maybe send them a letter and offer to buy the house avoiding all the brokers and get a good deal b/c they need to sell? We just almost made an offer on a short sale and it was my first experience ever with short sales (you don't see them a lot in our area) but, it was SUCH a good deal - I'm wondering if there is a way to get to the sellers b/f this point if that makes sense.
So, I guess my long winded q is are the street names they have listed not legit?
Thanks again!

Re: forsalebyowner.com foreclosure/preforclosure listings...
it doesn't really work like that with a short sale
one of the main things the bank is going to want to see is listing history- and that the owner tried to get close to the asking price- that the house was marketed in every way
it doesn't benefit the seller in any way not to use an agent- the agent is paid by the bank
if the agent isn't paid- the lawyer is going to need to get paid
(no offense to attorney's) but they tend to not have paitence to deal with short sales and agents for the most part handle them much better
I have had investors pay for those lists- when we run them against MLS the listing are out dated, already sold or don't exist
