How soon did you call the Dr. after you got your BFP? UPDATE with a Question

Hi Ladies,

I got my BFP a few days ago!! I am hesitant to officially post on this board since my last BFP ended very early in a chemical and I'm incredibly nervous.

But anyway, my question is: Did you call your Dr. right away after your BFP? Did you wait until AF was officially late?

Should I call now or wait until Monday when AF will be officially MIA? Would it be the worst thing if I waited until Monday? Sorry if the answer is obvious. I am so afraid to go to the OB and I don't know why.

Also, any sticky dust you could spare would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so I decided to just go ahead and call them, and they scheduled me for the beginning of June. They don't plan to see me at all before 8 weeks, not even to confirm the pregnancy. Is this normal? How am I going to get through the next month? What if something is wrong all this time and I am crushed at my 8 week appt?

Congrats on your BFP--hope this sticks for you!

I called immediately -- BUT that was because my doc had told me that when I did get pregnant one day, I needed a sonogram ASAP to ensure that it was a viable pregnancy. He considered me high risk for ectopic pregnancy, and I was scheduled for a sono at 4 weeks.

Called a few days after BFP. Made an appt and asked them to call in pre natal vitamins for me!

I called right away (a few days before AF was due) and made an appointment.

a couple of days...I kept meaning to call but got distracted with schoolwork and DD.
Thats a big difference from my first pregnancy when I called the day I got the BFP!!!

My doctor said once you have a BFP, we trust that you are pregnant- so you dont have to wait for AF to be officially late, BUT if you feel better waiting a day or two to let the news settle in or feel more sure than Im sure thats fine.. just dont wait too long! =)

I got bfp on sat and called on monday.

I called the day after I got my BFP and I was officially late for my AF. for you!!!!!

Congrats!!! YAY... I called the day I got my BFP.....They will likely confirm with a blood test

I got a BFP on a Friday and waited until Monday to call.

ETA: sorry i'm dumb at the moment.... CONGRATS!!!!!!!

Congratulations! I think I called a day or 2 after I got my BFP. They had me come in to draw blood the next day to confirm, and then scheduled a sono and an appointment about 2-3 weeks later.

I found out on a Monday and called on Thursday.

I would call, they'll tell you when they want to see you based on your history, etc.

I think i called a few days after BFP ...wanted to take a few different tests first before calling

I waited about a week.

I got my BFP the day before Christmas Eve so I waited until after the holidays and New Years to call.

I knew they wouldn't see me that soon anyways.

I went with DS at 8 weeks with my last OB, I switched this time and am being seen monday at 6 weeks 4 days. Honestly, I totally get the wait being torture bc it is, but Im also afraid that Im being seen too soon and will go, not see a heartbeat and be left in limbo for a week!

I called the same day. I had to wait until 7w weeks which felt like foreverrrrrrr since I found out I was pregnant 10DPO
