I think I have to fire our landscaper....

I think I have to fire our landscaper....
Our landscapers come on Monday. By Friday, the lawn is overgrown again. It looks horrible on the weekends. 
I've asked him several times if he can come to us on Thursday, and he said that "this is where our block falls in the rotation and if we need a weekend job we can do it once in a while" WWYD? I'm going to speak to him again tomorrow about it - this is our 4th season using them - the past few years we've been on a Tuesday - Monday, to me, is not cool.
There are plenty of crews in our neighborhood on Fridays, should I hit one of them up and secure them before cutting off ours? How do I go about firing them?  They've been doing a lackluster job anyway.......

Def get another one first. And honestly, if that is the day they come to your area, they won't come on another day simply b/c it's requested. And I can understand that. In my old home, I had Tuesdays and I hated that too but it was what it was.

I know - it sucks.  I was trying to reason with him the other day that for the past few years we've been early in the week and maybe this year he can switch it.... he didn't bite.

We hired our landscaper on the fact that they would come on Fridays. Otherwise, I would not have hired them.

One of the selling points for my landscaper was that they come on thursdays. I wouldn't be happy with mondays either.
I would talk to him once more and tell him that if he can't accomodate then you will have to look for another company.
