Anyone have old windows?
I live in a cape with 60 yr old custom wood windows. They are fine looking but some of the glazing on the outsides so old it is crumbling and falling off. Does anyone know who I would call for this kind of work or is it just general handyman type of stuff? The windows dont have a lot of panes but they are pretty large windows. Some of the windows are getting a little tough to open as well...

Re: Anyone have old windows?
We had our painter re-caulk and re-paint looks awesome but a LOT of work due to all the panes.

Re: Anyone have old windows?
Thanks, so I should just be calling a painter? I wonder if it would be more worth to just get new windows

Re: Anyone have old windows?
i would get an estimate -but i would also get an estimate for new windows- new windows are more energy efficient and there is a small tax exemption for them
but if you are planning on doing any additions or major facade changes or changing the sizes of windows in the future - then i would wait
