At what point did you start telling people....?
I am afraid of counting my chicks before they hatch!!! I don't want to say anything to anyone, or show anyone any kind of house we are looking at because I am so afraid that it will all fall through! So when did you tell people?

we told our families when our offer was accepted
we told everyone else once the contract was signed by both parties
(sounds like we are talking about pregnancy here  )

Same here. Told close friends and family and then everyone else once contract was signed by both. Even though DH is telling me I shouldn't be telling in case something goes wrong.

we are really open about things... anyone close to use who we see regulary (family and close friends) new what was going on every step of the way. I am not good at keeping secrets about things that are happy and exciting if they are about me and DH, I get to excited! It was good tho... when we lost the first house people said alot of things to make us feel better

My mom came to the house with us when we first looked at. So my immediate family knew.
We told everyone else after the contract was signed. I was VERY superstitious about it. We ended up having tons of problems and almost lost the house too. It took us 5 months from when we saw the house to closing.

I told anyone who wouldn't be interested in taking the house from under us once our offer was accepted.
I was quite relieved when we were in contract though!

We never kept any part of the process a secret from really anyone. Maybe we are just open people, but I did not see any reason to not tell.

We have kept everything pretty quiet...only my parents know we have an accepted offer on a house. I don't want to jinx it and I don't want to have to keep repeating myself when people ask how its going so we'll let everyone else know if/when we have a signed contract.
