How many panels for these windows?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but for double windows, should I be getting a panel on each side (total 2 for this) or 2 per window (total 4)??

And what about something soft like these? They're not silk - they are cotton. Wondering if they might be more up my alley with 3 kids. Something I can throw in the washer??

Or grommet?

It really depends on how wide the panels are. If they are 50" wide than I think 2 would be sufficient. They are for decor, not privacy, right? If they are 24" wide, I'd do 4 panels. You can always start with 2 and add.

They are 50". The blinds are def. for privacy, not the drapes. Although we may pull them at night to block sun a bit in morning - but never leave them like that.

Re: How many panels for these windows?

I would do 4 for each but only because 1) I like the full look and 2) I would have the rods go about 5 inches down from the moulding and I would space it further apart past the windows to make the window look bigger ;)Chat Icon

I would do two.

Is your bedding from Restoration Hardware? I think I have the same bedding and wall color and am Chat Icon trying to find window treatments to go with it...

Re: How many panels for these windows?

I would start with 2. Your window looks about as wide as both of my DD's room. E's panels are 50" and 2 are definitely enough.

I love the grommet ones but they are a little more on the modern side. I like the tie ones, but they would be a PITA to tie.

I have plain, rod pocket in my BR.

2. We have huge windows and 1 panel on each side for a total of 2. I think 4 would be too much, never see it that way on 1 window though.

Well then double Chat Icon Chat Icon because it looks EXACTLY like the RH set I recently bought for which I paid double that for ONE sham Chat Icon Next time I'm shopping with you Chat Icon

I realize I didnt answer the first time but I like the grommets better. I'm pretty sure I'm going with those too. By the way, if you're considering blue and not set on white I have PB blue smoke swatches that look like they'd match that bedding.
