FIOS
I was wondering why my bill was so high and it turns out when you rent a movie there is a video franchise fee of almost 5 bucks added on plus the taxes.
WTH??

Re: FIOS
that might be new. I never saw it before. All of a sudden my regular bill went from $127 to $140 when I rented a movie.

a year ago i would totally agree.... Only if you make sure you are on top of watching and returning movies...
we had the 3 @ a time - unlimited per month for $22.... as it turns out after 8 years ive been paying almost $8.00 per movie and holding onto movies for an average of 22 days.... we just changed to the 1 @ a time - 2 per month plan for $4.99....

Re: FIOS
Definitely go for Netflix...
You can stream it to anything these days, and the streaming package is unlimited.
The only downside is that not all of their collection is streaming yet, so if you are looking for a particular movie, you might have to have that sent via mail.
Another great alternative to look into is Vudu... The have the BEST selection of HD streaming movies, and they also stream to a lot of todays devices.
