Question about mulch?
We currently have red mulch in our front beds, I HATE it. I want to put black. Would it be so horrible if I put the black over the red, or would you clear out the red then put the black.?

hmmi think i would just clear it out and then put the black in just to play it safe

I would rather pay to get a little extra mulch to make it deeper and go right over the red.

I am with the OPs. Just get an extra bit or bag and throw it right on over the red. I would suggest watering the red down a bit, it helps it not fluff up and move around.

Well, I put it right over the red. It lokks 1000 times better than the red. I just need more of it. So the weekend we will complete it.
