we found a house we like but I need advice
We love the house. It is the right size, the right layout, location, everything BUT the sellers disclosure is slightly worrisome.
The house has an annual treatment for carpenter ants. Do I need to worry? It also has a radon issue that is being treated. Do we make an offer?

Is this on LI? I didn't think radon was an issue here.
Do you mean the seller's admittance of this is worrisome? Or the seller's refusal to admit/disclose is worrisome?
On the issue of carpenter ants, you would have to get your own exterminator to come in and assess the situation. Same goes for having someone assess the situation re the radon. I would not take the radon lightly at all.

It is in New Jersey. I agree, I don't take the radon issue lightly at all, but it is my understanding that many homes in NJ have radon issues. I just need to figure out if all the homes in the area we want to move to have radon issues or just this house as if it is the former then it would be an issue in all of the homes we are looking at.

If you do make an offer you can make it continent on an inspection - then if it's a real issue u can walk. I don't know anything about radon, but you can have it inspected for damage by carpenter ants

I see what you are saying and I understand. Def make an offer contingent upon inspection of these issues if you wish.
