Kitchen Garbage
this is going to sound strange but....
Can you post pictures of the garbage pail you have in your kitchen? I cannot find one for the life of me...and i refuse to spend over $100 for one.

Re: Kitchen Garbage
We have ours under the sink in the cabinet. It's just a plain, run of the mill plastic garbage can.
My Mom has a cool SS one, but it wasn't $100. The lid used to open automatically when your hand was in front of it (that part's broken now though.)

Re: Kitchen Garbage
Right now we have an ugly plastic white one that I want to get rid of. I actually posted today about the Simplehuman Trash/Recycler combo that I'm thinking of getting. It's expensive, but next week is Macy's Friends & Family and I also have a $75 store credit, so I figure it won't hurt as much, lol.

Re: Kitchen Garbage
I have a simple human one, it was actually cheapest at Century 21.
I think I paid 60 for a stainless steel.
Yes, I cringed too but then again, you do see it everyday so I finally bit the bullet and got a nice looking one.

Bought a great stainless steel one e at home goods - keeps the smell at bay and was very cheap!

We probably have the same one, from Costco. It's SS and has an infrared sensor on it that opens the lid when you are near it. The sensor went on it after about 2 years, but it's the perfect can for our kitchen since we have it out (no room to put one in a cabinet).
It's the one on the right:
