Anybody else secretly petrified....
That they will get so far in the process just for something to go wrong? Mine it to make it to closing and not have enough $ at closing or to be denied a home loan??? It seems silly but it has always been my biggest fear!!!!

I felt like that the whole time I was buying my house. I kept waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under me. I was so relieved when we made it to closing.

I think about that ALL THE TIME! I scares the bejeezus out of me, especially since we're still only hunting and haven't even put an offer down yet

Yup.
Especially since we went to closing once already and the seller didn't have a clean title. I'm very cautious this time around.

Our seller died two weeks before the closing date.
You can't prepare for that one!
Things just went downhill from there, but somehow we survived! Took a lot longer and was WAY more stressful than we ever could have imagined, but we've been in the house two years now and are happy we stuck through it all!

OMG yes! I was pregnant with twins and we needed the house asap. It took forever for our mortgage commitment and the whole time I was convinced we weren't going to get the mortgage
