It bugged me that it was such a big secret.. why hide it & why can't they say his real name? She's a radio personality, I don't understand the secrecy.  Unless the guy is someone more famous than her, why would anyone even care who he is? 
I think that she just doesn't want everyone in her personal business. She also writes for magazines and does some work for news shows.
Elvis also did say he was gay until after John Bell left. It was suggested but he wouldn't admit it.

I always suspected this because he never says a name when talking about his significant other. Can't say I'm shocked. I'm also not a Carolina fan.

He didn't come out, but basically started talking more openly about it. I listen m-f from 630-7a on my way to work and always *thought* he was and then BAM one day he said he went on a date with a really nice guy but NOT the one at all.
And I was like Oh ok, well there ya go! Now he will mention being a big Queen or going out. He was in a 7+ year relationship that broke up in the last year and now he is out dating.

Elvis used to make little comments here and there but never out right said it but then his long term relationship broke off and he started talking about it more. could have also been to protect the EX

I heard something about 2 years ago when a caller said something negative about Gays. Elvis got very upset and told the caller he was gay and it was because of people like him that he doesn't advertise it. I was shocked and I didn't hear him bring it up again until more recently. I did notice he would talk about his partner or significant other but never by name or use a pronoun like he or she.
As for Carolina I am not a fan. I find her completely self absorbed and she can be really bitchy to female callers. She had always been going on and on about how big her ring would need to be and how she needs a guy with money. It doesn't suprise me at all that wound up with a guy like this. He must make some serious cash and that is why she probably hid his real name.

i agree. i dont like carolina. i dont think she's relatable at all.

I actually thought Elvis was out for awhile. Maybe I am wrong. But it did seem like I was always wondering then one day he said something that I was like, Oh when did I miss it?
Before I went on Maternity LEave I commuted to the city so never got to listen when I used to listen everyday dfrom 6-7 on my way to work. But when I returned to work after having my DD I was listening for MONTHS and one day said "where is John Bell!!!"
I even googled it on my way to work one am!!!

I had a feeling Elvis was gay for years. What I want to know is why his mother is in jail if that is true!

I listened to that show on and off for so long I remember when it was Elvis and Eliot.
When I don't have a car commute I don't really listen to the radio at that time and I lose touch with what is going on.
I didn't like Carolina at first but then she grew on me.
I still miss John Bell and what he added to the show.
Elvis has been out for years. He is definitely vague about his SOs - maybe to protect them - but he makes enough other comments that reveal his preference.

To go even further back, I liked Christine Neghi (sp?) so much and can't stand Carolina, but like everyone else.
Totally random, Elvis has a small cameo as himself in Die Hard with Avengence.
