Farm house?????
How do you find a farm house with a bit of acrerage? Does that even exist anymore on Eastern LI? Either LI or PA.
Do you go through a REA?

Probably or North Folk. But how do you I search for it? Sort through all the listings on MLS??

There's one on the front page in Great River for $399!
Also some will def be on MLS and yes, they def still exist on LI. Main issue is your budget and how much acreage are you looking for? And what is your max for taxes? That will rule out certain areas.
Also, did you ever consider selling your current home and if you could get that "farm" house on LI that is close than maybe your imagined for commutes, family and friends, just live there year round?

MLS has tons of them. For the North Fork there are many old farm houses on the main road (rte 25)

yep my brother lives in southold and the place right behind him just sold and is now turned into a horse farm.
plenty of people trying to get out - wish i could buy a farm it would be such a dream!
