Need to make a wishing well for a bridal shower...
Can anyone give me step by step directions on how to put together a wishing well? I wanted to use a laundry basket for the bottom but aside from that I dont know how to go about it.
And yes Ive already tried to youtube it - no luck!

Re: Need to make a wishing well for a bridal shower...
i wish i had a picture with me. I made wishing wells for 2 of my friends bridal showers out of this... trunk
ii bought ribbons, toule (sp?) etc. for one, we had a gamenight/entertaining night theme so I bought xmas decorations with margaritas, beer, all different games, etc. SHE LOVED IT.
the other one I bought all her cooking utensils and since she loves tinkerbell and her color was lavendar i got them in potholders and stuff like that. came out awesome!

Re: Need to make a wishing well for a bridal shower...
I'm actually doing this for a friend this weekend! These are the directions we're using:
How to Make a Bridal Shower Wishing Well Things you'll need:
Large Rectangular Laundry Basket Mop Broom Rolling Pin Bucket with Handle Yarn Duct Tape Cardboard
1. Start building the bridal shower wishing well from the ground up. The large laundry basket will be the base and the place where shower gifts are collected. Get a rectangular laundry basket with sturdy sides and handles.
2. Using tape and/or yarn, attach the mop to one of the sides of the basket that does not have a handle. The sponge should be hitting the bottom of the basket, with the handle going straight up.
3. Directly opposite of the mop, attach the broom in the same way. These two rods will form the sides of the wishing well for the wedding shower.
4. The rolling pin will connect the two sides. Place the pin about 6-8 inches from the top of the broom and attach it using yarn or duct tape.
5. Before connecting the other side, slide the bucket onto the rolling pin. This will act as the well for your bridal shower wishing well. Shower guests can place cards in the bucket.
6. Finish attaching the other side of the pin to the opposing rod.
7. Cut the cardboard so it's slightly longer than the length of the basket and about two feet long. This will be the roof of the wedding shower wishing well. You can decorate it anyway you want. Paint it in a brick pattern, put pictures of the bride and groom on it, or cover it in paper or fabric.
8. Fold the cardboard in half to form a roof. Rest it on top of the broom and mop handles to complete the bridal shower well. Use tape to keep it in place.
