Do you have a maid/cleaning service?

Do you have one or will you get one once baby is born?

I feel like I need to get someone to come in once a week or something just so I don't feel "behind" in my housework all the time.

I look around the house and think how great it would be - especially now with DH and I both in pain for different reasons.

I do feel weird, though, letting someone in our house. And my mom was always against it for fear of stuff "walking".

i have a CL who comes in 2x a month. Money well worth it.

don't have one and will not be getting one. DH has been awesome these past few months with the laundry, dishes and vacuuming. I just hope the trend continues!

We do now!
I had to! I just cannot clean another floor, another tub...
Im not afraid of anything walking as I have known this woman for years. She is the nanny/cleaning woman for my boss. In fact, she gets the key and comes at her leisure so I dont even have to be there!

I have been debating getting one for a while.

Bit the bullet and she is coming monday.

We have a cleaning service that comes every other week. I have to say it's worth the investment if you can afford it. Dh and I felt since we both work full time that our weekends and evenings should be for us and not cleaning. I always felt like if I wasn't working then id have no good excuse. I wont be going back to work after I have the baby but Im hoping DH will be on board for keeping thd cleaning service

we have a cleaning lady once every other week. all of my IL's use her and she gives us a great deal and is amazing!!! she even cleans the hair out of my brushes

We have one; she come every other week. I didn't have a choice. Doctor told me no more cleaning. Thankfully she is wonderful. She cleans just like me...spotless!!!

We've been using a cleaning service since before I was even pregnant..they come every other week and now that I am on bedrest, it is a relief that we were already in the habit, so to speak...DH works later than I do and we didn't want to devote weekends to cleaning and if I did it all, I'd feel resentful so this way we just do in between cleaning and they do the big cleaning...

Yup, they come bi-weekly. People think i'm nuts, but they are worth it! My husband is a pig and I can barely keep up with the stuff I have to do. They do the deep cleaning....toilets, shower, dust, floors, stove, vacume the rugs well and the stairs. I have had them for 5yrs and my husband was against it. Now he is just as excited to see them as I am!
My Mom has had the same people for 25years so that's how come I have them. I'm in Michigan, and the prices here are $50 bi-weekly for our house. There are 3 of them and it takes an hour.

no..i am the cleaning lady in my house lol
if i had the extra money, then yes i would...but i will be out of work for 5 months so i am cutting on any extras to save my $

No, I don't have one. I would love one but I can't rationalize it to myself so no, we do not have one.

I wish!!!!! It's so hard keeping up with the cleaning now..I'm exhausted!

We can't afford it though. I think my mom will help with the cleaning a bit when I first have the baby, but we will have to make it work just us...no money for maid! Maybe one day!

We have someone come in every week, but it took two kids to finally get one. Once my oldest went into public school I took some of the money from daycare to use.

I have someone that comes every other week. I might up it to every week after I come back from maternity.

It's the greatest splurge ever.

yes, i have a CL come every other week. I'm 8 months pregnant and on bed rest since I was 7 months. DH travels for work so it really is a necessity.
I will probably keep her for awhile after the baby comes until I get into a routine.

i'd be that idiot that was cleaning before the cleaning lady came in fear she'd think I was a slob

Yes, had one once we moved in to the house. Like the other girls have said, I work full time, and long hours, and the weekends are already filled with errands that I cant have someone else do so in order to have any "us" time or "me" time, a cleaning lady was a great move. My friend called it an investment in our marriage lol. It cut down on a lot of arguments, resentment etc.

It is a luxury but if you can afford, i highly recommend. I figured if I cut back on eating out 1x every other week, I already made up the money for the cleaning lady. I also went from having her come in once every other week to once every three weeks, although I think I am going to go back to every other week!

She charges $70.

I have a cleaning woman who was coming once a week durin my last month of pregnancy and will keep coming every other week for now. Well worth it! We are only paying her $70 for a 3 bedroom house.

I would love a cleaning lady but it's not in the budget right now.
