to paint a piece of furniture and do something like this? So, all one color, with stencils on the drawers.

Thinking of doing this with a dresser I have in DD's room, but it's in need of some TLC. I actually had it in my room in college junior and senior year-- my dad told me to hold onto it because it's a good piece! I bought this, an end table and a mattress from another girl who was graduating for like $200!! Have def gotten my money's worth.

Pic of dresser in her old room, and before she was born!

Not hard at all..

just sand, prime and paint and you can actually buy the stencils or just size it out and have it made so all you have to do is peel and stick

the dresser is large-- think it would look like I did it myself? I have painted a mirror or two-- but wanted it to look rustic, not polished ya know?

Where would I get a stencil made?

i was thinking of painting the dresser white, doing the designs in black and then getting black or crystal-y pulls for the drawers.

I actually redid my DD's old dresser.. I got monograms in gold, changed the knobs to crystal and added some bead trimming and it came out great! so easy to do..

Etsy and ebay are a good start..

I think it'll look beautiful. it's not hard at all.. just give yourself the time to do itChat Icon

It will probably be time consuming, but not difficult! Great advice from the PP!

Re: How hard do you think it would be...

It looks like those lines are freehand...I would do like Bicosi suggested and have a stencil made. Other than that super simple...you will probably have to sand and prime that dresser
