The Opportunity Preschool
Does anyone have any info or feedback on this preschool in Hauppauge? Thanks!

In the past it didn't have the best reputation. I do site visits there every year for incoming kindergarten students. I have really liked what I have seen the past two years. The teachers seem to be right on and the classrooms are very nice.
Definitely take a tour before you make a decision.

we toured this last year for hannah and will be looking at it again this year due to her cpse recommendations. we liked it alot, but their program ends at 1:30, which makes it very difficult to figure out childcare for us as we work until 5. i did not like the adjoining daycare center, which is not affiliated with it.
the teachers and staff seemed really nice and the classrooms were bright and cheery.

The Opportunity Preschool now has morning care which starts at 6am and has after care which goes until 6:30pm. Also in regards to small steps being i the same building it is, but many parents have found that after that the Preschool is better because it is a PRESCHOOL not a daycare, which small steps is a daycare. The Opportunity PreSchool (TOPS) is a great place to send any child, because it does not just have classes for special education children but the inclusion classrooms have typically developing children in them.
If you have questions about TOPS you should call them and ask your questions and you should visit the school. (631) 863-3000
