Den Remodel has begun(w/pics)
I don't really have any good before pics, I forgot to take them. But our fireplace has been such an eye sore. It was old dirty brick(like you can still see at the bottom in the pics) The Glass and tumbled stone tile is now up but not grouted yet. We are having a custom mantel made and moldings around the entire fireplace. We have not picked the stone for the hearth yet. We got our new TV, which will be hung on the wall above our new console when the room is done. I found the console at HomeGoods. There was a small super dingy spider filled cubby under the stairs that we are now opening up. They are going to customize it with shelving and they are going to make the bottom a 4 foot wide rolling toy bin, that will hide away  . I am sooo excited. I love watching the tranformation.

Love the remodeled fireplace! We have a similar ugly brick one-only ours is an entire wall  Post pics once you are finished-I want to see how you do the under the stairs storage.

New FP looks great - I love a brick fireplace also though. Are brick FPs considered outdated now?

Looks amazing but I am curious--is glass safe to use on a FP? I have glass in my bathroom and its tempermental to say the least...I have 4 cracked tiles in an 8 month old bathroom...
