Need to replace our washing machine...and most likely the dryer too. Where to go?
Looking for the best place to buy both. Both are old, the dryer still works but, the washing machine died this weekend and DH doesn't want to buy a new washer and not have a matching dryer. Actually he doesn't WANT to buy anything, but it has to be done so I'm trying to find a place with the best prices, preferably in Suffolk!! TIA

We got ours at Plessers in Babylon. They beat every price I found. Good luck!

One idea tto entertain is to see if you have credit card points...we bought our dryer last year at Home Depot using solely points into gift certificates..it helped us even though it wasn't a "fun" purchase...

We just bought a new washer at HD.
My advice is to do your homework. Look at online prices as well as in store.
We got our washer for nearly $200 less than it was in the store by ordering it online through HD. Even the sales guy couldnt figure out why it was so much less online than in the store, but it was!!!

We just got a good deal at PC Richards. I went to the Deer Park ding and dent center but, I got better prices on models in the regular store.

We got our at sears over presidents weekend. Kenmore frontloaders.. Love them!!!

I also have Kenmore front loaders that we bought from Sears about a year and a half ago. I love them (dryer has a steam setting!).
Just a word of caution to those who've never had front loading machines: If you have kids, put the small baby socks in a mesh bag, because they can get caught in the seal around the opening where you load the close and then water will leak. It happened to me and the repairmen said it is such a common issue with front loading washing machines. Who knew?

I second this. we also got ours from here and it was Half the price we would of paid anywhere else.

Lowes. They have good sales from time to time and price match and their warranty is cheaper and better than the sears one

We got ours here, they were both "scratch & dent" and only had minor scratches on the side that you can't see anyway. We saved a ton of money.

Sears. We did a lot of research and decided to go with the Whirlpool Carbrio (top loader washing machine). We are very happy with our decision and we feel we got a good price.
