Does anyone know of a GOOD DMV?
I didn't renew my registration online because I am not the owner of the car, and I was trying to get the title signed over to me, but it didn't happen, so I waited for no reason. I didn't realize it expired Monday (I thought it was yesterday) so I got a ticket yesterday.. 
Long story short, I need to go to the DMV today, but the one I usually go to (By the airport) is really unbelievable. It's dirty, in a bad area and I will probably be there for 3-4 hours just to renew my reg. IS there a better one out there? and is there a god time of ay to go?
AND is there any way of getting out of the ticket?

I like the one in westbury. Also you can try and send in proof that that you got your registartion taken care of right away, Maybe they will reduce the fine.

I don't know of any "good" DMV ..but I did have a pleasant experience at the one in Bethpage once.
And I believe if you send a copy of the renwed registration in with the ticket it will be dismissed. Not positive...but this is what I was told!!

im not sure where you live, but i always go to the one in college point, queens. ive never had a problem there and im always in and out right away.

Take the Van Wyke to Linden Place and make a left at Linden and another left onto the southbound service road. It's just past the entrace to the Van Wyke South.

If you go to the one in College Point I'd suggest parking somewhere else- that lot is a mess. The last couple times I tried to go there was a line to get in. And they charge you (or they used to- I have not had to go to that one in a year). I used to park on a side street behind the Multiplex and walk. Much easier in and out. But don't park in the Multiplex- they'll tow you.
The DMV in Brewster is a breeze if you want to make the hour drive. I was in and out in 15 minutes and there was a problem- it would have been an hour on LI.

it is on zeckendorf blvd right of the meadowbrook. I have always been in and out quickly and the parking lot is free. Bonus: Target is 2 blocks away
