How can I find out the status of a specific house, whether it's bank owned/in foreclosure?
Is there a website that I can check? Even if it's a pay site?

There are sites that you have to pay for that supposedly provide lists of short sales and REO properties/foreclosures.
However, any realtor can get that info for you, so why pay?
