Re: How much are your spring clean-ups?

We just got a quote for $225 from the 1800lawnrep guys who advertise the $99 service everywhere. who knows what you get for that $99. our yard is .4 acre. last year i found a guy on craigslist who did it for $125, but he used our lawn bags and left them all for our pickup (didn't take them away). I would have used him again, but he's not doing it this year. I found 2 other guys on craigslist who I might call.

What does "cleanup" consist of. I am considering this too this year.

I have almost 1/2 an acre. I just paid $350..... they hauled away all the leaves, picked up all the fallen branches... made everything look neat & tidy...swept the driveway and curb area of all the sand and salt from the snow.

I feel we paid a lot, but we literally had sooooo many leaves, pine cones, and those damn pine needles.

Everything looks great but this is our first time doing a clean-up for spring. Thank god it will only be once a year.

We have a little more than half an acre. I was surprised my landscaper didn't come today (he comes Fridays). I assume ours will be in that general neighborhood for similar work-- will let you know! He should give us a price break for the phenomenal winter he had (he also plows and shovels for us!).

.77 ACRE. While DH usually does the yard work, spraying etc., I think we need to get a Prof. in, because our yard has a lot of dead spots (grubs ?) even though DH applied treatments. We also are on land that use to be a field, so there are always weeds, ie. clover, etc. trying to make a comeback. Where the Texas Eastern Pipeline cuts through our yard, the grass is usually nice, because it was resodded yrs. ago, after one of the old pipes was removed. Mary

This is the first year we are getting our landscaper to do spring clean up-he is charging us 200$ for our 50X200 yard. I just wish he would get here and do it already-I am itching to start planting but don't want to do the clean up since we already paid him!

It's usually ~$400 for our 1/2 acre. If we buy mulch, they will put it down (otherwise they charge too much for the mulch)

We actually had a late fall clean-up and I think the yard still looks OK, so I think I'm skipping this spring.
