No more nap at 19 months old???
It can't be! Can it?? I posted a week or so ago about DD taking a while to fall asleep for naps, but she usually did end up sleeping at least 1.5-2 hours. But the last 3 days she has just refused to nap. MIL says she plays, rolls around, tries to climb out of the crib or pnp, talks and sometimes cries but doesn't sleep!
So instead of her normal 8/8:30pm bedtime she's been going in much earlier b/c she's exhausted. Might be selfish but I don't like this, I want my 3 hours of time with her after work... not 1 or 1.5!
I know she still needs the nap. Is there anything we can do?

I would still continue to put her down for her naps. Maybe she is teething or going through a phase..
My girls still nap for me and they are 4 and 29 months old.

Re: No more nap at 19 months old???
DD's are 21 months and I am having the same issue some days. I always put them in their cribs but sometimes they just play in there for the 2 hours instead of napping. I am hoping its a phase as well.

Re: No more nap at 19 months old???
Lauren is 19 months old and takes 2 naps a day. Morning around 10 for 1-2 hours and then again around 3 for 1-2 hours and then in bed for the night by 8-9pm. I would try to put her down for naps, especially if you think she needs it.

Wow. That's great! She doesn't fight them? What time does she wake up in the morning?

Re: No more nap at 19 months old???
DS has been fighting his nap for the past few months (he is almost 2). He's been pushing it be 95% of the time, he eventually goes down, even if it is at 3pm.
His nap has been later so he goes to bed later but he also wakes up later in the morning. Sometimes he even wakes up at like 9am!

Re: No more nap at 19 months old???
DS went through a stage around 2 years old where it was impossible to get him to nap.
Just stick with it! Eventually DS started napping again just like he did before - for 2 or 2 1/2 hours.
I was lucky that I was home with him, so when it was impossible to get him to nap, I'd put him in the car or plan our outings so we would drive home at niaptime, and then I'd either let him sleep in the car if I could sit with him, or transfer him to his crib. Eventually he got back into the habit.
ETA: his nap time did get later..... like he would sleep from 2 to 4 or 230 to 430, etc.
