Thoughts on this house?

MSL # 2371148

Massapequa house

Seems really cheap and a good deal. I live close by and grew up in the area so I know it's good. It looks like it might be on Broadway (from the map) which is a busy road, but still seems like a good deal. Wonder why it's so cheap.

Thoughts?

Gonna try to check it out ASAP

Does this make it harder to buy on my end? Thanks, Beth!

not harder- but don't expect them to accept a low ball offer

it's all about the numbers- they are investors- no emotion- just money

It doesn't seem like there needs to be that much updating...Right? Hardwood floors are done..it's painted..though that kitchen needs to be painted over. new appliances in the kitchen.

That is a main road. Prices are soo low right now, you can get a great deal in Massapequa and Massapequa Park, on a more residential street.

Looks like a lot of updating to me. The shower walls aren't even tiled in the bathroom. The only thing updated in the kitchen are the appliances. The railings need work. If it is on a busy street I would keep looking.

Jackie Im with you. Some updating maybe but my nothing major from the pics. the kitchen maybe but nothing compared to what I had to do and my house wasnt much cheaper than what that is priced at.

Definitely worth a look.

It's also zoned to farmingdale which could bring down the price of the house. Most people that look in massapequa prefer the massapequa SD over the farmingdale SD

Re: Thoughts on this house?

It's in Massapequa but its Farmingdale SD...IMO for the taxes you'd be paying I'd rather be in Plainedge or Massapequa SD.

We just recently looked at alot of houses in that price range as well as lower and higher...it seems to be priced right.

Re: Thoughts on this house?

It's on the corner of a main road, but faces N. Queens. I drove by yesterday..Looks good from the outside, so we will definitely check it out. Doesn't seem like any major updating IMO, and compared to other houses we saw in that price range, looks good.

I actually prefer Farmingdale SD. I went to Plainedge and would prefer a more diverse school, but that is just my opinion.

Thanks girls for your thoughts. The fact that it's on the corner of Broadway does make me hesitant, but it's not facing Broadway..I dont know. Going to check it out ASAP.

Thank you. From the pictures, that is what I thought too. Nothing too crazy. We have handy people in the family who would help, and we know we're going to need to get a house with some updating needed. We don't mind that.

FYI. I own a house in Farmingdale and my taxes are more than that houses taxes.Chat Icon
