Frozen Breast Milk Question!

Once the breast milk is defrosted, how long until it goes bad? Can I make a few bottles in advance and make sure they are consumed in 24 hours?

Thank you!

Re: Frozen Breast Milk Question!

I always use it within 24 hours, and I believe that's the standard guideline.

24 hours as they already said. I usually defrost overnight in the fridge and then they are ready to go by morning. Chat Icon

Re: Frozen Breast Milk Question!

just a tip- if you ever need to use it like at a next feeding- I put the bag of frozen breastmilk in a pot of cold water and put in the fridge- usually ready in 30 minutes

Re: Frozen Breast Milk Question!

24 hours is the rule of thumb, although I've gone 48 and nothing happened.
