bleeker beige looks like grey ;(

i wanted something between tan & grey.. like a nice taupe color & by looking at the swatches i chose bleeker beige. i painted 2 walls in my living room yesterday & it totally looks like GREY no tan whatsoever, i need to repaint grey is not what i wanted. you would think taupe would be easy! there are a million taupes LOL!

My absolute favorite color....just painted some of my house in these two colors.

Alaskan Skies (BM) Pottery Barn color (like the color below with a smidge more tan)

and Edgecomb gray (BM). OMG, gorgeous taupey gray, which is exactly what I wanted. Just so soothing and perfect. I think it's what you are looking for.

I made an album but honestly it doesn't look like the color. It's hard to get an accurate pic of the color. It just looks GRAY and nothing like what it looks like at all. Very hard to show you...it depends on the lighting, which isn't coming out good on the camera.

Just get a swatch for those two colors....that's your best bet.

We have that on our LR/DR walls, in the evening, it has a greyish tint, but during the day it's def beige. You just have to pick a few colors and put them on your walls to see how the color takes.

I'm surprised - I have bleeker beige in my house and while it definitely has a grey undertone to it, its definitely taupe.

Maybe its just the guy who mixed it?

That is very odd...I wonder if they didn't do the formula right. I had Bleeker Beige in my old house and it definitely looked 100% tan/beige.

thanks so much for posting that goob! im thinking it's my lighting because it looked more tan then grey in the store & my swatch matched
anyway, i went back yesterday & i think i don't want a greyish-tan anymore... thinking more of a brown tan lol i came up with "interlude" lets hope it looks right on my walls or hubbys going to get annoyed at me!

I searched high and low for the perfect taupe that was just Taupe- not grey, not brown.
Benjamin Moore Pismo Dunes fit the bill perfectly!

If you want a brown tan go with Shaker Beige or Lenox Tan (but that's dark in a low lighting space, so be warned)
