Prevacid question
DS just started prevacid a couple of weeks ago. I am giving him 1/2 tablet, twice a day. I have such a hard time cutting it in half. I feel like it is never even and i lose a lot of the pill because it breaks up so much. Any suggestions? Also- he hates getting it! Does anyone give them a whole tablet at once or a half a tablet once a day?

DD is older and takes a whole pill but you could get a pill splitter.

100% you need to get a pill cutter - only way to split the Prevacid. Jordan still gets 1/2 pill 2x a day - it took him a bit of time to get used to it, but he loves it now - it's sweet! How are you giving it? I put the half pill in an empty syringe, suck water into the syringe, let it melt/dilute and then squirt the Prevacid water into his mouth.

The pharmacy in my doctors building compounds the Prevacid into a liquid for us. The regular chain pharmacies don't usually do this but the doctor office ones sometimes do.
