If I wasn't working I would offer to help.
I don't want to say this the wrong way... but I remember reading somewhere that this early in pregnancy, bedrest will not stop a miscarriage. Doctors recommend to rest w/ bleeding or spotting but research shows it has little/nothing to do with preventing miscarriages so early on. So, my point is, if you can't find help tomorrow don't blame yourself for what might or might not happen.
That is true. If it is going to happen unfortunately no amount of resting will stop it. I'm praying for you that this is just spotting and everything is ok.

Diana, when I had my mc I bled heavily and it never subsided...this time around, I bled and it did subside and then came back a bit...so honestly it really really could be nothing!!!

Re: I'm trying really hard not to lose it, but it's hard.
I am so sorry. I hope that you will have a healthy baby in nine months. . I have been through 3 losses myself. It sucks. The good news is that with my dd I had the same exact symptoms you are describing and I bled until 13 wks and then sporadically until 20. They kept a close eye on me but I came out without a hitch. My dd is 3 :)
But I am going to be brutally honest. IMO Resting will not give your baby a heart beat. So hopefully the baby is lesser along than you thought and then chances are your baby will have the hb whether you are active or not.
Rest up cause you deserve it. But try not to get too stressed about caring for your children at this time.

Re: I'm trying really hard not to lose it, but it's hard.
I am so sorry that you are dealing with this. It is so hard to take care of little ones and yourself, esp when you really need to take it easy. I hope that everything turns out ok, and from my own experience, it is very possible that the bleeding is nothing. When I was pregnant with DD#1, after just having 2 miscarriages, I bled for the entire 1st trimester. It was like a full on period- not brown blood. Needless to say, I was a mess for all of those weeks since I had already lost 2 babies previously. I pray that you have the same thing that I did with DD#1, and that you are able to squeeze in some rest.

I am sorry you are going through this. I really hope u know that there is nothing you can do to help or hurt the inevitable. What is happening to you has happened before to women who went on to have healthy babies but I know That doesn't make you feel that much better bc this has never happened to you before and the fact that you don't know what is really going on is making you depressed. Only thing you can do is relax your mind bc I'm sure it's in overdrive. Have faith and stay positive. Believe that everything will be ok!

Re: I'm trying really hard not to lose it, but it's hard.
Thank you all so much. For your kind words, sharing your experiences, and your hugs and prayers. They mean more than you know.
My cousins husband is around tomorrow if I need him at all. She wants him to come here to spend the day with me, but I'd rather just have him on standby and see how the day plays out. Afterall, I can't count on family every day for the next couple of weeks until we figure out what the heck is going on.
I really really just need to talk to my doctor. I need to go in. I need more tests to be done.
I will make peace with whatever happens. If for some reason God doesn't want me to have this baby then I will deal with that. But, I can't take the rollercoaster ride right now. And, like always, we are the ones who cry and go through it - and the men are so far removed. My DH actually was talking to me about a bag of rotten apples that he bought at Stop and Shop today. I almost threw them at his head.
My boys are sleeping now, I'm laying in bed watching Jersey Shore (which is just about the only show that can make me feel better about things right now ) and will just relax and keep on praying!

Hang in there mama. Everyone is right...there is only so much you can do but please don't let the worry consume you. Keep that blood pressure down.
You have every possible number to reach me, right? I want a call if you so much as need to have ice cream let alone something big. I'll be right there after work so I promise you have me after hours.
Sending lots and lots of love and prayers.

Praying hard for you, Diana. I've been thinking about you non-stop. It's in God's hands. I hope and pray that everything is fine. Hang in there. I know how hard that must be...

I am so glad that you are resting and that you are getting help tomorrow. Maybe go see your OB tomorrow while your BIL is over. It seems that the not knowing is the worst part. We are strangers, but let me know if there is anything I could do. I have a flexible schedule.

Hang in there!! I agree with the others - rest for your own sanity but know that lifting Ty or anything else you do will not cause anything Let me know if you need anything. Thinking of you and sending prayers the bleeding stops
