I'm trying really hard not to lose it, but it's hard. w Update!
For anyone who didn't see I'm 6.5 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding since yesterday. The dr. got me in for a sono and we saw a sac (in a good position) but no HB yet. The tech thinks I'm earlier then we originally thought.
The bleeding subsided today and was only brown bloody discharge.
Now it's back, and full on bleeding.
My dh is home today and helping with the boys, and my mom is coming over tonight to help while he watches the Super Bowl.
I'm devastated that tomorrow it's all on me again and there is no way I can rest at all. Everyone keeps telling me to lay down and rest which is fine and dandy for today, but there is no shot of that happening tomorrow.
I'm scared that if I don't take it easy I will really lose this baby. I have no one to help, and I feel completely helpless right now. This is the worst feeling in the world.
An update: just spoke to the doctors office. They went over everything so far. My bloodwork that they took last Tuesday was on target for a 5 week pregnancy. She also said that since I was earlier than I thought that could be the reason we didn't see a heartbeat on Sat.
She said my uterus and the sac all measured perfectly.
I am going tomorrow for some more bloodwork. If the numbers are where they should be I should not be concerned. She said that this type of bleeding is normal. Apparently you have to be gushing blood and clotting and tons of cramps if you are having a miscarriage.
I had a sono scheduled for next Thursday the 17th but was able to move it up to Monday. It seems like ages and ages and ages away. I just wish the bleeding would stop - and they would take me in for another sono ASAP but I guess I just have to be patient.

Diana, I'm so sorry. Is there any way, in light of the circumstances, that DH or your mom can stay home tomorrow to help out? I'll say a prayer for you guys, and take it easy for today at least!

Dh took off three days last week because we closed on our refinance and he got the Lasik surgery.
My mom works a crazy crazy job and I hate asking her to do things like this. I just don't know.

If I wasn't working I would offer to help.
I don't want to say this the wrong way... but I remember reading somewhere that this early in pregnancy, bedrest will not stop a miscarriage. Doctors recommend to rest w/ bleeding or spotting but research shows it has little/nothing to do with preventing miscarriages so early on. So, my point is, if you can't find help tomorrow don't blame yourself for what might or might not happen.

I'm so sorry Diana I'm still praying that everything is ok. I believe my sister had a bleeding issue early on with one of her PGs and it turned out ok. I wish I could offer to help while Ethan's in school, but tomorrow is his surgery. I hope you can get someone to help out so you can take it easy. Sending lots of &

I am so sorry. If no family can stay home tomorrow, can you try sittercity or care.com? You'll be home with the person which is a plus, so you can monitor the care your children receive.
I really hope this is nothing and stops soon.

Easier said than done I know, but even just refraining from lifting if you can would be good...Sit on the floor with them to play etc. if you can...
Nothing you do/don't do is your fault...Please remember that and try to keep positive

Re: I'm trying really hard not to lose it, but it's hard.
hey there sweetie...
just want to tell you about my experiences...
when i was 6 weeks pregnant I had a ridiculous amount of heavy bleeding with clots. i was SURE that i had lost the babies (was pregnant with twins at the time and had seen both in a sono, but no HBs)... when I went for my sono about 3 days later, I saw both babies with HBs.
When I DID lose one of the twins, I had no bleeding whatsoever.

As others are saying, is there a friend or two who could either come to help out with the boys or take to their houses? Sending lots of hugs and wishes for good luck!

Re: I'm trying really hard not to lose it, but it's hard.
You know from all of the posts & FMs that bleeding is pretty common. But you should also know there is nothing you can do or not do to make this pregnancy succeed or fail. Resting, shoveling ,zumba, lifting a toddler, hanging upside down, it's out of your hands. Cells are set & either it's a viable pregnancy or it isn't.
Please don't think that it's anything that you've done. It's not. Hang in there.
