For those that have bought land.....
was it hard to get a mortgage? Do only certain banks offer you a mortgage on land?
We're looking at land to buy but just wanted to be prepared about what happens next.

You sure can..most banks will give you a mortgage on land. I don't know if the mortgage would be different though.

I believe you can. I dont know all the information though. When we bought our land in FL nearly 4 years ago the price was so low we paid for it without a mortgage or loan.
Our land served as our downpayment when we decided to build. We bought the land Feb 2002 and signed papers to build July 2004.
Land now in our area is going for min $50,000 for 1/4 acre
