id say go with the dark if you have a lot of natural light in your kitchen- otherwise go with light
i personally like the cream cabs and dark wood floors

I LOVE cream kitchens! I really don't like cherry cabinets for a kitchen. I feel like unless you have a huge kitchen, the dark wood is too heavy looking and makes it feel too enclosed.

I absolutely love cream cabinets
This is how i have my kitchen and i would never want it to be dark
My kitchen is so light bright and airy and i have darker wood floors, going to dark you will see every piece of lint and dirt
try a medium wood color we have special walnut

cherry cabinets with tile floors.
Our apartment currently has white cabinets & I hate them. No matter how hard I try they always look dirty. I clean those damn things every single night.
My parents just put dark cabinets in their home Upstate, NY & I love them. Makes their kitchen look so elegant & warm.
I personally would not put wood floors in a kitchen. I wouldn't be too worried about regular drops & spills but if something happens when you are not home (broken sink pipe) it could ruin the entire floor.

I agree with all the PP who said it depends on the style in the rest of your house.
Cream = bright, casual, clean, modern look (or could look more cottage-y depending on the rest of the decor)
Cherry = masculine, traditional, formal

I love the cream cabinets with the dark wood floor. I have a big cherry entertainment center in the living room and I find it makes the room feel closed in now and regret the purchase.

I voted cream cabinets.
My kitchen is white with dark wood floor and similar green wall. I wanted dark cabinets originally but so happy I went with white.

I have wood floors in the kitchen and knock on wood, no problems yet. IMO, it evokes a warm and cozy feeling. I am not opposed to tile but I depending on the color they can appear cold and uninviting.

Like everyone else says it's such a personal preference and how the rest of your home is. I'd consider the amount of lighting in your kitchen and how big your kitchen is for the cherry cabinets.
Id choose the cream cabinets.

I have cherry and they are okay. I had white and liked them, my SIL has the cream and I LOVE THEM! (no chipping issues)
So I say the cream!

Does anybody have cherry cabinets with wood floors throughout?
I am doing a darker shade of cherry in my kitchen and am going to have wood floors throughout. Trying to figure out what color I am going to be staining my floors. Don't want it to clash with my kitchen.

But the cream cabinets will not be as dated in the long run.
