that moaning couple was getting on my nerves. That poor nurse, she was not trying to do any harm, only making suggestions. She's the professional and they treated her like she didnt know what she was doing.

DH and I watched it last night and I have to say I laughed through a lot of it. I totally see myself handling labor/drugs like that 40 year old mom.

That "natural" couple was driving me nuts. Between them showering together, whispering "keep things positive," and ooopppeeeennnn, they were just odd!

Yes, I can't wait for it! I gasped out loud and woke up DH when I saw the part of the commercial where the dad drops the cell phone on the baby when he's trying to take a picture. I would kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllll DH!

OMG I had to rewind that like 5 times.. I love how he tries to rub the baby after to make it better lol!

I thought the show was pretty one sided. The nurses were ALL about the drugs. Even to the second couple - Tasha and whatever the guy's name was - the first nurse was like oooookay when at first she was anti-epidural.

The natural couple were a bunch of freaks though. I hope to have a natural birth but I'm not going to be weird like that!

idk, 3 of the interviewed nurses said they'd had their own kids drug-free --- i feel like they had to edit/cut a lot for the show and the drug situation wasn't exactly as it appeared.

And yes, that last couple was something else. I'm surprised they even opted for a hospital setting, they seemed like backyard-tent-delivery people. Chat Icon

We laughed through a lot of it as well. We were cracking up when the guy brought the travel system in the box to the hospital then both him and the Mom were eating like they were watching a movie. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I wanted to punch him...He acted like he was in charge and everything out of his mouth was "I" I felt bad for her. He would have gone for the drugs if the situation was reversed...I am not against a natural birth, but the woman needs to be in charge...That poor nurse...Thank goodness nothing happened to the baby...

Re: "One Born Every Minute"

Okay. I just watched this. Let's sum up what I have learned. My birth plan will be a combo of mom #1 and Mom #2. I will gladly get looped out, lay back and eat some cheetos. THAT sounds like a plan. I will not be showering 10x in the hospital with my husband. If my DH even suggests that I not have drugs he will be escorted out. If I hear him mention "his" concerns even once, he will be escorted out.

I will give mom #3 credit though. How she endured 23 hours of labor without killing her DH or herself, I don't know, but she is iron woman in my book.

ETA: My DH is definitely that idiot who is always on his cell at inappropriate times and taking pics with it like it's a Canon. I can TOTALLY see him dropping the phone on the baby. No doubt. That was a flash forward of my life.
