Special Ed Attorney
If anyone has an attorney they could recommend who has an understanding of early intervention, I would great appreciate it. If someone knows of a website or an agency that could lead me in the right direction that would also be a help :) Feel free to FM.

I would start with an advocate too -- otherwise I highly recommend Deborah Berger http://www.educationlawyerli.com/
Good Luck! Just a question though -- if it's still EI, what does your ongoing coordinator say? (Not the county coordinator, your agency coordinator) Mine was EXTREMELY helpful.

I was given the name of someone when we were concerned about what our district would do. I never needed to use him, but can FM you his name and # if you want to give them a call.
I did call LI Advocacy center and while they did give me a couple of pieces of useful information, they didn't really tell me much more than the therapists I was working with did. The person I spoke with actually gave me one wrong piece of information that caused a whole chain of unnecessary phone calls and worry.
If you are anticipating a fight, I would call LIAC, but also consider talking to a lawyer at the same time.

I have to find his information....
But I wanted to respond in case I forgot...
I want to say that his first name is Nick (Nicolas) and that his last name begins with an A. I know that he's located in Port Jefferson.
