I did IT!!! I got rid of the nipple shield
I was using the nipple shield to BF for the past 6 weeks. After a friend suggested and encouraged me to try with out it and the recommendations from the boards...I attempted it yesterday.
It worked!! My DD latched on without a problem. I think it was more my fear letting go of the shield and that she would scream again or she get fustrated. It was so easy for her.
Atleast this is once less thing to clean

Congratulations! That is a huge milestone. DS used the shields until 8 weeks and I was a slave to cleaning them and making sure they were available. I was so stressed about getting him to the breast without the shields and I was so thrilled to be off of them. Great job mama!!
