Not sure I like this...

So we have been trying to find two additional chairs for our DR. In our apt, and here for the time being-- we have been using this bench. Which I personally like a lot in terms of looks, but not everyone loves sitting on a bench when we have guests.

We had originally tried to order two more chairs of the ones we currently have, but they no longer make them.

So I had the idea of getting two different chairs to use as "head chairs".

We picked these up-- they are black/brown and I thought they would be a nice contrast, but I kinda think they are TOO dark. The chairs in the background (on either end of side bar), I like also in place of the bench, not at the heads-- but they are too small, and are not very comfortable for every day use AND are about 150 years old anyway-- so I am only going to use those when I need more chairs.

Anyway-- thoughts?

I think they look good.
Maybe pick-up some darker pieces to decorate with.

I was going to get this table for the living room-- it will be on the same wall, but in the LR, as the baskets... It's a black/rubbed brown like the chairs. SO I did think that would help to tie things together. I also need a different runner for the table-- I took the one I had off the table because I really hated it with the dark chairs.
