Does it annoy anyone else when people put their hands in your baby's mouth?
Either they put their hands in DC's mouth or they encourage DC to put their hands in their(adult's) mouth?
It drives me looney!! Yes, I know people want to see his teeth but why do they have to shove their nasty hand in his mouth to pry it open? And that game where people pretend they are going to eat the baby's hand & go as far as letting DC put their hand intheir mouth.. I can't

Yes! When they're pretending that's one thing, but when I see it done... totally grosses me out. I don't need pple's saliva all over DS or his hands in their mouths.
For some reason DH's family loves to do that with DH. More the cousins are all over him. Worst is when they put the back of his paci in their mouth. Not the paci, but when they pull out the paci from his mouth with their teeth. I was doing that with DS and DH's cousin saw this so she was doing it shortly after. I'm like... S***, you know I just had my mouth on that"
She didn't care. So weird. I took it and washed the whole thing immediatly

yeah, but it's ok when the PARENT of the baby does this since we MADE them but when others do it

Yes!!! It use to make me want to . I had no problem telling them to NOT do it though when she was little, same thing with kissing on the lips. God knows who is sick with what and I didn't want everyone putting their lips on hers and as for the hand thing, my DD has always been a thumb sucker so it's extra disgusting to me if people tried to suck on her hands.
It amazes me you even need to say anything to people, it's like nobody has common sense. I still (after over 2 yrs!!!) have to constantly tell my Dad to stop letting my DD bite his food that he's already eaten or drink from his cup or use his utensils. For some reason everyone thinks it's so cute but it yucks me out to no end.

DS won't let anyone put their fingers in his mouth. Occasionally, I can get in there to check for teeth but, he does not want anyone else's fingers in there.
He likes putting his fingers in other people's mouths though and it drives me nuts.

No one has ever tried to do that to AJ. I know I've kissed her hands, still do. Id be afraid to hurt her little fingers if I stuck it into my mouth.
When I want to see her teeth I tell her "say ah" then again that's probably why I missed all of her teeth coming in! The first broke through before I noticed it!

DS is teething and DH's cousin thinks it's perfectly ok for her to stick her fingers in DS's mouth for him to chew on. I wanted to smack her across the face when I saw her doing it

I don't think that has ever happened to us. My mom watches DS and she may occasionally put her hand in there to take something potentially dangerous or dirty OUT of DS's mouth but that's about it.
