Cleaning Oven
For those that have self-clean ovens, when using this function do you leave the racks in there while it cleans?
If not, how do you clean your oven racks?

yes, i spray them with cleaner, leave them in, and wipe down with the rest of the oven once the cleaning cycle is done. they come out spotless

Read the directions from the stove, mine says to take racks out when self cleaning. I use regular oven cleaner on them.

Definitely read your manual as every oven is different.

I leave mine in.
You should never use any cleaner in a self cleaning oven. It can cause a fire because the chemicals and how hot the oven gets.

Mine also says to take them out. I just washed them with soap and water.

I leave them in... I like to live dangerously.
I do not put any cleaners in there.. the regular fumes are enough to knock me out I couldn't imagine how horrible it would be with cleaner!
I do use oven cleaner to follow up after the cleaning cycle is over and the oven is clean.

I was thinking the same thing. most of these cleaners are for non-self cleaning ovens
