best western suffolk SDs?
we currently live in eastern nassau and we be looking to move within the next 1-2 years. we are looking to buy in western suffolk... we have been looking at W. Islip but would like to expand the search!
i work in oceanside so something close to a parkway would be preferable (and south or middle island)...
which are better SDs in that area?

West Islip, Babylon, Lindenhurst are all good. I would stay away from North Babylon, Copaigue, and Central Islip.

I think E. Islip is also good
we started our search in W Islip and expanded into E Islip. Ended up buying in E Islip because we fell in love with the neighborhood.
Both SDs are excellent.

What is important to you?
Bigger districts? Small classroom sizes? Racial diversity? Great sports programs? Strong arts programs? Strong special ed program? A lot of gifted offerings?
There are a lot of good districts.. but it really depends on what is important to you.

There are a lot of good districts.. but it really depends on what is important to you.
i grew up in seaford and loved the "smaller" town feel so I would say a smaller district offering as much as possible.
the best education possible at an affordable price.

ITA. I was a substitute teacher in Lindenhurst and did my student teaching at Babylon and loved both districts. Islip is good as well.

There are some really nice and affordable areas in West Babylon. The school district is good too.

For the smaller town feel I would go with Babylon. They are so small that the Junior High and High School are all in one building. The graduating class is really small. Babylon is such a cute little town too!
