How do you store your Christmas ornaments?
and where do you keep them during the year?

i keep them in basement in room with the water heater, etc
i haaaaate climbing up to the attic to bring heavy stuff down, KWIM?

In the boxes they came in, then we have one of those giant bags for the tree, that we put the tree in, but the box that the tree originally came in is where the ornament boxes go.

Cardboard ornament boxes, with dividers and trays for the ornaments. They work great.

mostly in the boxes they came in, if not wrapped up in tissue paper. I keep all christmas stuff in the garage

very sentimental ones are wrapped in bubble wrap and stored in an individual box and then the rest are put in boxes and stored in the rubbermaid boxes and we store them in our loft in the garage.

I wrap them in newspaper and put them in a big plastic bin and store it in one of our closets.
ETA: The more expensive ones are stored in their boxes in the plastic bin.

same here, those don't have boxes are in bubble warp in the rubbermaid containers. Now that we finally have access to our attic... everything is up there!

we have non breakable ones so they get tossed in Rubbermaid bins that I got on sale at Wal-Mart, they look like over-sized shoe bins. They work great and keep them together. For the few that are breakable/special they get wrapped and put in a smaller plastic bin.

The majority of them go into their original boxes. The ones that don't have boxes get stored in big tins.
All the ornaments go into a big rubbermaid container that gets stored in our hall closet at the very top.

A large plastic bin in the garage. The breakable ones are in a small cardboard box filled with styrofoam peanuts and placed in the plastic bin.
