Cleaning hardwood floors
We're moving and the new place is all hardwood floors. I've never had hardwood floors so I have no idea what to use to clean them. How do you clean your hardwood floors?

Re: Cleaning hardwood floors
My sister in law uses a broom/vaccum first and then the Shark steamer. I watched her use it the other night and it got SO much junk off the floors and was so easy to use. She said the combo steamer/vaccum dosen't work as well so just get the regular steamer. It comes with 3 pads that go in the washing machine and you only have to use water in the steamer.

Re: Cleaning hardwood floors
I use Pine-Solve with a dedicated mop. You mix it with water and it cleans and shines and disinfects all in one.

Re: Cleaning hardwood floors
I have to tell you - I honestly don't clean mine all that often - I have tried the bona and the minwax cleaners and I never see a diffrence. If theydo get grimey I spot clean them with my steam mop. I clean them with a swiffer and a sweeper vac several times a week though...

Re: Cleaning hardwood floors
i use the bona system- you sweep/ dust first with their special pads then spray with their stuff and it works like a swiffer. so far so good. but besides vacuuming and sweeping, i dont clean them that often though honestly.

Re: Cleaning hardwood floors
okay read all your responses....
maybe dumb q...but if you used a mop and a hardwood floor cleaner....
are the floors supposed to be wet after you mop or shouldyou go right over them with a towel so there are no spots? ( hiding in shame)
