Is there ANYTHING I can do for my 6 month-old's cough???

Fairly certain my DS has bronchitis. His big sister has it, had been on antibiotics for a week, but other than one croup episode last week, he seemed to skate by.

Last night, he was up in the middle of the night, croupy AGAIN, having trouble breathing. Today, I could hear the congestion in his chest...but of course, it's Sunday...

Is there ANYTHING I can do to stop him from coughing tonight? The poor thing is coughing badly about once every 5 minutes and it keeps waking him up. For my DD, we were able to give her Delsym, but I know he is way too young for that.

We just gave him a bottle with warm tea and lemon. Still coughing.

God, I wish I could take this from him, it's awful to hear his coughing fit, and then to hear him cry.

Try letting him sleep in a somewhat upright position. And a humidifier should help a bit...I'm not sure you can give him any medicine...

My DH and I are getting over a cold and DS (also 6 months) got it about a week after us. He has a cough too. I've been giving him Tylenol since thats really all I can give him. We also bought a cool mist humidifier and that seems to be helping.
