Alexa is being tested for Precocious Puberty:(
We have been following her signs for months & months now but more have come out:( We are going to the Pediatric Endocrinologist on Thursday.
Has anyone gone through this?
Any prayers you can spare would be greatly appreciated!!!

My knowledge is limited to what I learned in school a bagillion years ago for the most part.
My neighbors daughter had it. All I remember is that there was no known cause why. (No tumor or other issue). I do know though that they caught it early enough and that she wound up being fine. They held it off until she was 11, Im guessing with medication, and after an xray of her bone growth, let her go through puberty. She is now a typical young adult of height and maturation.

how old is your DD?
i babysat for a little girl who got injections to hold off puberty at an early age (8-9?). she is now a GORGEOUS (i mean beautiful) almost 17 year old. 100% normal, average height/weight etc.
i   for your little girl that its nothing serious and can be managed easily!

my brother had a friend growing up that would get hormone shots maybe every month i think..to slow his growth. and he was fine and it really helped control his growth to a normal range.

the daughter of a friend of my sister's went through this. She had to go through hormone treatment as well and is doing great. I'm sure it's very unnerving for you though

i went through puberty at 8 (had my first period) but developed hair/breasts around 7ish. No one told me I was different or anything other then some people just go through it earlier then others.
I am thinking that is what is Precocious Puberty just going through it a lot earlier then the average.
I have to say I am fine just got picked on a bit more until 6th grade when some girls started to mature as well.
