What is the weather like in FL in January?
So we just booked our DD's first trip to Disney and we are going in mid-January. We are already booked, but just thinking ahead for packing. Do I expect cold, mild or warm temps?

We've gone in early December before and it was usually 60s or low 70s. Right now FL is in the 20s though!

Yea right now we are in the 30s in the am and low 50s during the day.
I did hear it's supposed to be a warmer winter this year  , but so far everyone is saying it's the coldest it's EVER been!
I would think January is 50s, 60s during the day and prob. 40s at night. I'd pack a light jacket for the nights

I think you'll have to wait til it gets closer and keep checking. We've gone two years in a row and the first year it was great, 60s during the day, high 40s at night. Last year it was positively frigid, 20s and 30s the whole time. You just never know...

Could go either way. You would be really unhappy right now if you were down here. I am in S. FL and it's been 30 at night. I would just bring some cooler weather clothing for January.

We went early Januay a few years ago and the weather was very unpredictable. For half the trip we had on long sleeves and sweatshirts. However, there were a few days with "shorts" weathers. It really went back and forth. Two of the days were awful cold, rain.

We went in min Jan one year & it was crazy.. 60's & in a jacket one day & the next day 80's & we were in the pool.

It can really vary. We went one year the 5th-12th and it was 60's and 70s most days - cool mornings - so you needed to layer. Nights were COLD though. DH and I had to buy gloves b.c we didn't bring them and it was 30's and 40's at night - so we were wearing our winter coats. We had one day that it was warm enough to comfortably swim.
I would layer - you can always do laundry down there if needed.
I have friends who have gone a few January's and they say it can be freezing one trip and warm the next, or a combo of both. The good news is that January is usually pretty quiet so you should have a great trip!
